Real Madrid vs. Liverpool (3/15/23): How to watch Champions League, FREE live stream, TV, odds

Must read

Liverpool has a big hill to climb in the Champions League round of 16.

Real Madrid will defend a three-goal lead in the round-of-16 second leg against Liverpool after a 5-2 win in England on Feb. 21 in which the defending champions rallied from an early 2-0 deficit. No away team has ever erased a three-goal loss from the first leg in the Champions League, and only five times the team that lost at home rallied in the second leg.

The match will begin at 4 p.m. Eastern and air on TUDN. If you don’t have cable, you can find the match on fubo TV (check out the FREE 7-day trial) and DirecTV Stream.

Madrid is coming off a win against Espanyol in the Spanish league while Liverpool lost at Bournemouth – a team that is facing relegation – to hurt its chances of moving closer to the top four in the Premier League.

With Liverpool in dire need of goals and pushing the action, Real Madrid should find plenty of chances to counterattack and score. Real Madrid also should benefit from being home, where it has scored at least twice in 12 of its 17 home games this season.

Since Feb. 13, Liverpool is 4-2-1, with a 7-0 win over Manchester United and 2-0 victories over Everton and Newcastle. Over that same stretch, Real Madrid is 4-1-2, including a 3-1 victory over Espanyol this past Saturday and the 5-2 comeback win over Liverpool.
