GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 25

1. Mater Dei (23-6): The Monarchs will look to ride the momentum of Kaeli Wynn’s game-winning 3-pointer against Sage Hill when it plays host to Orangewood Academy on Wednesday in the second round of pool play in the Open Division playoffs.

2. Sage Hill (24-3): The Lightning will look to bounce back Wednesday at top-seeded Sierra Canyon, which beat them 81-57 in late December.

3. Orangewood Academy (21-7): Maria Mejia scored 13 points in the Spartans’ 82-43 loss at Sierra Canyon in the first round of pool play in the Open Division playoffs.

4. Buena Park (21-9): Gloria Barrera is averaging 25 points in the playoffs for the Coyotes, who play host to Fairmont Prep in the Division 2AA quarterfinals on Wednesday.
